Are home prices finally falling? The short answer is…no. While our local market is experiences a typical seasonal slowdown, homes are still selling in about 3 weeks and for at or near full price. If you are thinking of buying, now is a great time to shop as you will have a little more time to think about it (longer than a couple of hours) and can avoid the ‘feeding frenzy’ we experienced this Spring and Summer. Rates are forecasted to rise next year to around 4%, which will directly affect what little affordability is left for buyers.
