John’s Heights was developed in the early 1960s as air travel became more commonplace, as it is near the Idaho Falls Regional airport.
Location
John’s Heights lies on both sides of Grandview between the East lateral canal and Skyline Dr. The neighborhood enjoys all city services and resides within the Idaho Falls School District 91.
Features
Grandview is a connector between I-15 and US-20 (West Broadway) that heads west out to the desert INL site. Properties along Grandview are twin homes and four-plexes and the interior lots are home to single family residences. The neighborhood lies just South of the airport, and is about a 5 mins drive to the parking lot.

Brick homes are common in this neighborhood and have one- to two-car garages attached on lots that are typically just under 1/4 acre.
Heating is in this neighborhood is a mixure of gas forced air, electric cadet or electric ceiling heat.
