Gustafson Park

Gustafson Park was known for it’s custom homes when the neighborhood began in the 1960s. It also has a section platted as Hughes Imperial that is generally considered to be a part of the same neighborhood.

Location

Gustafson Park is bordered on the East by Holmes Ave, on the West by Rollendet, on the South by Sunnyside and on the North by Tautphaus Park Zoo. It has an entrance from Holmes on the East and Rollendet on the West. The neighborhood enjoys all city services and resides within the Idaho Falls School District 91.

Features

The subdivision is known for it’s mature landscaping and mature hardwood evergreen trees as well as it’s proximity to Tautphaus Park and the amenities maintained at the City park.

Homes

Home styles range from formal two-story plans with a full basement to large ranch homes of the 1950s and 1960s. Homes largely have two-car garages and fenced yards which tend to enjoy immense privacy due to the mature landscaping. Homes in this neighborhood were built by a variety of builders.

Heating is in this neighborhood is a mix of gas and electric sourced. Air conditioning was not a feature often found when this neighborhood was built and not all homes have been updated to include it.
