Rosewood Acres was developed in the mid-1980s with building continuing into 2000, as a neighborhood of 1-2 acre lots and offering a county lifestyle with the proximity to the City employment center.

Rosewood Acres is located West of the airport North of 17th N and West of Olf Butte Rd (26th W) with an entrance from each side. The neighborhood lies in the County ouside the City limits.

Homes in Rosewood Acres enjoy a greater setback on the lot resulting in large front yards and a more estately feeling to the neighborhood. Horses are allowed to be kept as per neighborhood covenants and county statues with regard to number of horses per acre.

Home styles are varied with mulit-level homes, single-level and two story homes present. Some also have outbuildings. Most were origionally built with cedar shake roofs, although many have been replaced when necessary with asphalt shingles.
Heating is in this neighborhood is a mixture of electric and gas, reflecting the preference at the time the house was built.
