Sunterra is considered to be one of the premier subdivions on the South side of Idaho Falls. It was begun in 2006 and largely completed within ten years, with a few of the last homes filled in by 2020.
Location
Sunterra’s main entrance is off 49th South just West of Homes Ave. Alternatively the homes in the back portion of the subdivion can be accessed from Holmes Ave and the entrance to the Avalon neighborhood.
The neighborhood enjoys all city services and resides within the Idaho Falls School District 91 and popular Sunnyside Elementary school boundaries.

Sunterra features some of the larger in-town lots ranging from 1/2 to 3/4 acres.

Home styles are typically one- or two-stories with a full basement, three-car garages and fenced yards. Homes in this neighborhood were built by a varity of builders.
