The Rose Neilsen neighborhood was established and has remained popular for it’s central location and proximity to the hospitals and the medical corridor.
Location
Rose Nielsen encompasses a large area bouded on the North by 17th St, the South by Sunnyside, the West by Woodruff and to the East behind Channing Way. The neighborhood enjoys all city services and resides within the Idaho Falls School District 91.
Features
Homes in these neighborhoods are typically situated on 1/4 acre lots. The subdivision was first developed in the 1960s and expanded into the 1980s. Homes continued to be built up through the late-1990s. The subdivision is largely townhomes with the Eastern portion of the division featuring townhomes between the single family section and the commerical properties on Channing Way.
Homes
Home are typically larger that average for the area, particularly in the Southern end of the subdivision. Styles vary and include multi-level homes, single story ramblers and two story homes, the later two offer a full basement. Most feature a two-car garage and fenced yards are prelevant. Homes in this neighborhood were built by a variety of builders.
Heating is in this neighborhood is a mixture of electric and gas forced air, depending on when the home was build. Central air conditioning is not typical in this area.
